Soror Laura Banks spends time with students and staff at the school named in her honor.

Tucson, October 12, 2012: In October, Banks Elementary welcomed Soror Laura Banks as part of its living history. Soror Banks is the founder and first Basileus of Eta Epsilon Omega, and for 39-years she served as an educator within the Tucson Unified School District. The school, Laura Nobles Banks Elementary, opened in 2002 and has about 450 students. In addition to serving within Alpha Kappa Alpha at the local level, Dr. Banks was a past secretary at the national level. She now calls Texas home.
